It is the soul of the program. Why the person is going to AOT?

There is funding allocated for BHSD and SCC staff to create infrastructure and staffing to do outreach, assessment, reports to the court, etc. There is additional 50 slots to add to ACT/FACT plus housing for CBO. Services will cost roughly $2.15 M with additional $1.3M for housing.

When we say mandated does that mean that you must take medication or you will be hospitalized or incarcerated?

Today's meeting is not focused on implementation, this is an informational meeting for SLC members and the public about AOT. Please add questions on the chat.

County cannot provide medication involuntarily. Clients will not be incarcerated unless they commit a crime. They will not be hospitalized unless they meet 5150 criteria

Both Caminar and Telecare presented to the Health & Hospital Committee that their programs cost $4 million/year. Why are we estimating $12 million? Also, the law does allow counties to partner with other counties with the AOT program. Have we considered this?
SLC Mary Gloner
